Training description:

As HVAC professionals, your employees spend a significant amount of time on the road, often operating company vehicles loaded with tools, equipment and hazardous materials while navigating a busy workday filled with service calls, changing priorities and tight schedules. How can you help keep your team safe on the road? This workshop provides practical strategies you can put to work.

Getting to the job safely is a shared goal for employers and employees alike. This workshop will give you practical techniques to help your employees improve their awareness, recognize hazards earlier, manage space and make safer decisions behind the wheel. You’ll also learn how to reinforce those safe-driving techniques using practical tools you can share with your team.

This workshop is part of MCASF’s three-part driver safety series, with additional programs planned on fleet risk management and fleet-monitoring technology. Details to come.

Presented by:

Smith System has provided driver safety training for more than 70 years. Its proven Smith5Keys® approach gives drivers practical techniques to recognize hazards earlier, improve situational awareness and reduce preventable collisions.

The training will be delivered by Mike Lyons, Senior Regional Training Supervisor and certified Smith System instructor. Mike has served as a certified instructor since 2007 and has delivered driver safety training throughout the United States and internationally.
